At the moment the term ‘Renewable Energy’ Sounds gentle and twee (I haven’t used that word in a while). I think one day it will it will be considered a much more boundless, tenacious and triumphant term.

Much like the concept of sharing data, or ‘File Sharing’ Which brought multiple industries that previously had complete control to their F**cking knees.

Renewables draw their power from..

The Sun, a nearly 15 million degrees ball of fire flying through space. That will one day consume the entire planet without it even noticing.‪#‎anthropomorphism‬

The effects of the Moon, an 81 billion ton chunk of rock spinning round the earth at 3,683kmph literally pulling our entire oceans towards itself.

And below your feet is a giant ball of molten iron super heated to around 10,000 degrees, creating a magnetic field without which we would have been wiped out by that big ball of fire in the sky.

These unimaginable celestial and geological processes are so far beyond anything we have access to on the surface of the earth, thank ‘god’ we get a taste of the power that drives these unstoppable forces.

If you think these forces are weak, This is because you are in exactly the right spot for them not to kill you instantly. Lucky you!

Technological growth, so far hasn’t slowed. It has expanded exponentially. Presuming this continues, the amount of energy we can tap from these sources is boundless, decentralised and to a certain extent democratic.

Don’t think of renewable energy as a technology but as a concept.

Mass consumption of VHS tapes died out years ago but we still watch films in our homes. The concept is alive an well. Don’t discourage fledgling, low yield and dirty solar technologies, improve on them. Just like others are doing all around the world.

This is the future!

PS. Smoking isn’t good for you. That’s another lie that was told. But we know that now.
